  1. Well, I think the first thing is that they will help you spend and NOT overspend. Once you become more responsible with your credit, the score will slowly start to recover.

  2. I can certainly see the benefits of being able to watch your own budget. The thing is, the cards have been around a while, so why the popularity spike now?

  3. I use prepaid cards when I am on vacation. I would prefer not to carry around cash and they are so much easier since you cannot over spend on things like impulse purchases.
