During times of need, we may need to turn to someone else for help. There are a lot payday loan companies that offer instant cash or short term financing.
However, payday loans are often accompanied with very high rates. Are there better alternatives for borrowers? Consider the following sources:
Turn to a credit union.
You can turn a credit union in your local community as these non-profit organizations also offer personal loans. Credit unions have more lenient standards and charge lower rates compared to banks and commercial lenders.
Turn to your employer.
Are you currently working for an employer? If yes, why not talk to your boss and ask if you can get an advanced salary? If you are working for a corporation, speak with the supervisor of your HR department and ask if the company offers a financial assistance program for employees in need.
Have you thought of borrowing from a friend or a family member? The important thing to remember is to put the details in writing to avoid misunderstandings or problems later on.
Social Service organizations.
You may also get help from a Social Service organization in your area. In case that organization does not directly offer financial assistance, you may be able to get advice or a recommendation as to which creditor you can turn to.
Talk to your creditor.
Do you need to borrow money to pay a creditor? If yes, why not speak with your creditor and request for an adjustment with your repayment terms. Most creditors will extend your due date for another 30 days if you explain your situation and request for help. You can also ask your creditor to waive the late penalty charge especially if you have an understandable reason for missing your deadline.
Payday Loans.
If you have tried all the above options yet to no avail, then a payday loan may just be the help you need. Remember that you are expected to pay it back by your next pay check or within the next 25-30 days to avoid extra interest rate charges. Before signing up your payday loan agreement, carefully read the Terms and Conditions of your chosen lender.
